Giorgio Casu for Alley FIDI powered by Verizon co-working office space.

Featured Artist: Giorgio Casu

Location: Alley FIDI, 140 West Street, 2nd floor, New York, NY, 10007.

Type:  Hand-painted Interior Mural, acrylic paint.

Description: Alley is a rapidly growing community that operates coworking spaces in multiple cities in the United States. Recently Alley has started a new branch branded as "Alley powered by Verizon" and is planning to open several coworking locations.

Alley invited ST.ART to enhance walls of the newly opened space in the Financial District in NYC with some colorful and aspiring murals. The vision was to make the walls of the entrance hall more lively and add some inspiring artwork to the floating column in the main space.
After some consultation, we were able to identify what our client is looking for.

Their selection was the Italian-born artist Giorgio Casu for his elegant style. Alley was looking to implement in the artworks the historical aspect of the building they are in and the idea of "connectivity" in an abstract manner.

The newly opened Alley Fidi powered by Verizon co-working space is located in the Verizon Building, a former New York Telephone Company Building. The building is a historical landmark, it was built in 1923 and designed in Art Deco style by Ralf Walker.

As a result, Giorgio presented to the viewer the magnificent historical skyscraper itself in front of the everchanging sky with its constellations, as a reminder that people as stars on the sky are connected by the invisible links with each other.
