Art Installations for Governors Ball Music Festival 2019

Description: The Governors Ball Music Festival is New York City’s multi-stage music & arts festival with about 50,000 attendees on Randall's Island. Featuring music of all genres, foods of all flavors, arts of all variety, and more. The festival draws from the eclectic spirit that makes NYC so special and provides people with a first class experience for all the senses.

ST.ART was invited to curate some of the festival's art installations so guest can engage with it. The choice for the artists fell on the talented Timothy Goodman, Sonni and El_Cekis. Artists hand-painted murals on the 8 x 20 ft stretched canvases on the towers that was spread out throughout the festival's areas. Attended guests engaged with artworks by using the canvases as a backdrop for their photos.
